GETTING EQUALITY REQUIRES EQUITY- SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

July 12, 2021

In the march towards equality, one thing has become exceedingly clear- to get equality, we must first have equity. It explains how different forms of discrimination often overlap to create a greater injustice against many marginalised women, including women of colour, women and young girls living with a disability and trans and non- binary youth. This type of feminism requires feminists to wake up and take action against the injustices marginalised women face and stop focussing on the issues that only affect white women.
